I’ still enjoying Facebook. Reading status updates, checking out newly uploaded photos are ways to keep in touch with friends and family wherever we may be in the world.

And since it’s now June, it’s going back to school for most. One of them is my cousin Pauline who is now in college and another is a family friend’s son Jerome. It’s fun to read how excited they are! I remember the times when I was in their shoes. I was partly excited, say 20%? And 80% nervous. I’m not very comfortable meeting way too many people at once.  But come to think of it, I prefer being new in school than new at work.

A status update of Pauline saying how much she likes their library is another I can relate to. I loved our library as well. Well we had a nice and well stocked library in college. My close friend and I was always there during our breaks reading magazines, researching for reports and for myself, immersing myself into many recipe/cook books. This is something I totally appreciate about my school, there was only a few times we needed to buy books which are expensive. One thing my friends and I were looking for was a shop where we can rent used college textbooks. For sure it will be cheaper that way. That was my advice to Jerome’s dad Kuya Jeg to save a lot on books.

We also love just how comfortable it was there during the scorching heat of the afternoon sun. Back then, I can’t wait to graduate from school. To run away as fast as I can from thesis, projects, long and short quizzes and most of all, boring subjects and teachers. But now I totally appreciate being in school. In fact, I want to go back to school. We’ll see about that.
