I love David Foster
May 20th, 2010 by niceyfemme

I have mentioned here before how much I appreciate Charice’s singing talent. The girl never fails to give me goosebumps every time she sings and that means she’s very good. She’s got that ability in her, making her audience get goosebumps haha. An international album singing her own songs, performed with great singers, met celebrities– she’s gotten so far from being the runner up in a local singing contest back home. All this became possible because of the nice people who helped her, and by those nice people I mean Oprah and David Foster. Wow. Talk about mentors and it’s hard to have better than that.

Her talent is undeniable but it’s not why I made this post. When I pressed the play button I expected to hear this young lady’s great voice but what I didn’t expect is David Foster’s soft emotional side. I shed a tear, that was how touched I was when the video showed him teary eyed and his voice breaks when he said that Charice gave him a letter and asked him to be her Godfather. David was holding back his tears. He’s like a father to her. Lucky Charice. To be surrounded by great talents and nice nice people is such a great blessing.

I now see David Foster in a different light.

I have visitors!

I just have to say that I’m so glad to share my small corner to people from around the world! Yes I know too many exclamation points but this is how I’m really feeling at this moment!

I’m overwhelmed to see people from many faraway countries arrive in this humble blogsite…. I totally appreciate what these Live Traffic Feeds and Flag Counter gadgets/programs widgets have done for this blog. Now, I don’t feel alone anymore. I know that YOU are here.

In a way I feel like I am in the countries you guys are at. I’ve always wanted to travel but financial constraints have been stopping me from doing so. Now if only I could visit the countries in my Flag Counter! That would be so great! I’d bring Mommy and Daddy and Bee and Bambi my dog. Hahaha! It’s free to dream you know. I shouldn’t feel embarrassed saying these kinds of things cuz this is my cyber home. (If I am shy here then where can I be myself then?)

So my thank you’s to the widget companies(?) of Feedjit ,Flag Counter,, Gravatar, Myshoutbox and the others for letting us poor people use your software/widgets for free. I love them!

Now if only I’m as rich as Oprah. 🙂

If only the richest persons in the world gets to read this and in just a snap decided to make my wishes come true! (I’m sure it won’t even leave the tiniest dent in their accounts heheheh)

(Btw, I love you Oprah!)

Day dreaming mode

Is a noun; referring to someone who is afraid of using technological devices, such as computers.

Ok, I’m not really scared of computers and technology or anything hi-tech but it’s not my best friend either. It never came naturally for me.

Year 1998. Back then I was a freshman in high school and the internet was just starting to blossom. There were a few internet shops already but the operating systems were from the stone age. I didn’t even know what operating system was popular back then; actually I clearly knew what an operating system means and other computer and internet stuff just last year.

So going back in 1998, I wanted to “surf” the internet to go to Hanson‘s official website. So I rented a computer but I didn’t know what to do. I remember just staring at the monitor, basically have no idea what to do, looking at other computers and figuring out how to get there. I gave up and just ask someone to help me and I was embarrassed. So that day, I knew how to click the Internet Explorer icon.

You’d think that after that I’ll be better at it but no. When my classmates were all copying reports or doing their research from the internet I was still doing mine the old fashioned way which was going to the library. I just didn’t know how. Our Computer Technology class didn’t help at all. What with the MS DOS thingy? It didn’t help that he’s not a good teacher. He’s just nice and funny.

Then in college, our school had a free internet service for students in our library; that’s the time J and I just practiced to click and click and click. That was the time I knew how to set up an email account, how to browse the net and all the basic stuff. I knew how to research in Yahoo and only in Yahoo. (I wasn’t aware of other browsers then)

If a man wants you
Feb 14th, 2010 by niceyfemme

If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
If he doesn’t want you, nothing can make him stay.

Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior.
Allow your intuition to save you from heartache.

Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that’s not meant to be.

Slower is better.
Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.

If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve,
then heck no, you cant be friends. A friend wouldnt mistreat a friend.

Don’t settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is.

Don’t stay because you think it will get better.
You’ll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.

The only person you can control in a relationship is you. Read the rest of this entry »
