Feeling guilty!
December 28th, 2009 by niceyfemme

Some women are passionate with shoes. Or bags. Or make-up.

While I am drawn like a magnet to kitchen wares, gadgets etc. Stuff I could use in the kitchen.

Since I just stayed home today to rest, I had a lot of time to surf the net. I again read in Cecile’s blog (Chuvaness) about Johnny Air. I’m now even more convinced that there’s a better way and cheaper way of shipping stuff from US to Manila.

So I checked Amazon.Com. My mistake. ;) I found what I’ve been wanting to have for so long.

WOK!

Chinese WOK.

The reason why I spent a lot of dollars on Nasi Goreng. I just love that wok flavor. I love Singaporean (Chinese-Indo-Malay-Indian Mix) Cuisine.

Eating out is expensive especially if you’re going for international dishes. And when I’m not in Singapore I miss the food like crazy. My solution to that is cooking my own food at home.

Like when I craved for Carrot Cake, I learned how to cook that myself.

Since I’m trying to not spend money as much as possible, I just look, I just browse. With all my self control I try to leave the page without buying anything. I think and really think hard if I should buy the item, if I REALLY REALLY want that item. Or it will just sit in the kitchen like the other equipments I already bought which I only used a couple of times.

Since I’ve been wanting that wok and the possibilities of cooking wonders I might experience, I was already on the side of, maybe I’ll buy it. I asked my Mom if I should buy it. If she ever stop me I might let her ehhehhe…… But when she did stop me, I made her remember about North Park’s Lechon Macau, with the fried rice she likes so much (because of the wok flavor). So I told her we could save a lot if I just cook that at home ehehheh…. So she didn’t resist much after that hahah!

So after 3 hours tinkering (that’s without exaggeration hahah!) if I should buy it or not, I finally went through with it. I just thought I’ll be spending the money I won from a contest in Mommy’s office hehehh…

So I’ll be waiting for longest time I guess is two weeks…. Yahoo!

Merry Christmas to me!

good choice, but i think you should still be able to get a nice one in singapore (if you still live there). it might be more expensive to get in from amazon. :)

but i don’t know where…. :( some friends say I should check IKEA but don’t know why I haven’t tried checking it out heheh…. And yes it’s more expensive in Amazon plus the shipping which is deadly! :)

Also I’ve seen a nice wok in Orchard, it was non-stick, that’s all I remember now, know nothing about woks then don’t even now what type it was but for sure not carbon steel or iron cast…. All I knew then was it seemed so nice I wanted to but it! I loved the popcorn they made hehehe….. And the molten sugar didn’t even stick to the wok they just wiped it clean….

I still prefer buying the carbon steel wok that’s arriving soon (I’m so excited!) because I know that’s the sure way for me to get that wok flavor I sooo love!

Thanks Steph for dropping by………;)
